All Gone Wrong for Tuchel

Chelsea reach new low as they are outsmarted by Croatian team Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Champions League

Clinical, disciplined, attacking with intent, very efficient runs, protecting the goalkeeper to perfection, world class reflexes from the goalkeeper himself, excellent when not on the ball, brilliant passing and interceptions- All of these not describing Chelsea, if u thought so, they actually described how brilliant THE BAD BLUE BOYS Dinamo Zagreb were yesterday. Everything that Chelsea weren't. They played to win and got the reward for the ecstatic home fans that were in for a treat, maybe not expecting it pre-game, but happy their hopes were not in vain. Only two years ago, Chelsea had won the UCL and in the same season Dinamo had beaten Spurs 3-0 almost in the same fashion.(So no spurs fans you do not get to criticise now I'm afraid :P).

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made his surprise early debut for Chelsea today and the fans were eagerly hoping for him to get off the mark and there were plenty of chances for him to do the same, but for some reason he was a bit hesitant to commit fully, but given time, he should be able to break "the no.9 curse".(Worst case scenario would at least not be a 100m flop)

Kai Havertz stood up big time creating enough chances in the game, definitely trying to prove the haters wrong. Kovacic was also the best player on the pitch for as long as he played.

After the half hour mark in the game, Chelsea lost possession in the oppositions half, and Kalidou Koulibaly was left in a dilemma, as the defensive line was very high up on the pitch. He committed to the interception very late, as Petkovic headed the ball brilliantly to Orsic who was very much faster than Fofana, the only player he had to cross to get in the clear. Fofana was 2 feat away and couldn't even pressurize Orsic into a shot error, Kepa was helpless there, as Orsic with brilliant presence of mind, chose placement over power and put it behind the line to give Dinamo the only goal lead.
Chelsea were left chasing for the rest of the game, very frustrated, not being able to make even half chances.

In the last 20 minutes though, Chelsea finally seemed to pick up pace, with shots on target and off the cross bar but weren't clinical enough to get back in the game. Two close free kicks (within 20m of the goal) were wasted by Hakim Ziyech, who came on for Azpilicueta after half time.

The team as a whole should take responsibility for this defeat and definitely step up for the game during the weekend to show their real worth, for I'm sure the fans will keep backing them no matter what. "We'd wait forever", but please, not forever. No better time than the very next game to step up and show our worth.
