Havertz and Mount with fitting replies

England vs Germany Nations League game ends 3-3 in a goal-some thriller

Pretty much a friendly, but opportunities for players under the rug to show up goes not in vain as both Kai Havertz and Mason Mount score fantastic goals in the game. The atmosphere at Wembley was electrifying as usual but soon vanished as Germany scored from a penalty after a foul on Jamal Musiala by Harry Maguire. Ilkay Gundogan took it with great composure and past Nick Pope to the bottom right corner to make it 1-0. Soon after, Kai Havertz scored a banger with his left foot from outside the D-box to make it 2-0. Should he continue this form, he could well and truly be irreplaceable in the Chelsea and Germany line-up. But the game was far from over.

England began their comeback with Luke Shaw's strike that went literally through the Germans and just sneaked past the goal line as he made it 2-1. Then Mason Mount, who had just come on as a substitute struck one with his right foot, powerful and precise, past ter Stegen to make it 2-2. He for sure had a point to prove there. He was never giving up and was always fighting for top class. Slow start? Definitely. But never hesitant to have the best finish. That's Mason Mount for y'all. So England were now back in the game and 81 minutes in, Bellingham is fouled right on the edge of the penalty box by none other than his Dortmund teammate and won England a penalty. Harry Kane took it with huge confidence and struck it to the top left corner to make it 3-2 as England had completed their comeback. BUT THE GAME WAS STILL NOT OVER.

A long range shot from Gnabry straight at the keeper Nick Pope who handled it very poorly let the ball roll away and Kai Havertz who anticipated it rightly took the chance perfectly to get a brace and finish his reply to the haters in style. He was far from done and is up and pumping for every chance he gets. Chelsea fans would only hope his form continues in October to better their Premier League chances of at least a top 4.

On a broader scale though, as Gareth Southgate claims he is the man for the job in England, after yet another tie it is no wonder that it has only increased the doubts and the fans might as well be left with lesser expectations when the defence is still careless and fragile as last night. Serious changes in the back have to be considered for the betterment of results or Southgate could see the doors out soon.
