Frustration as spoils shared

5th Consecutive Tie against Man United, Chelsea miss the chance to go further up the table.

Very frustrating result, and unlike other days, the scorecard does explain the whole story. Both teams defended well. But other aspects proved to be pretty bad for both the teams. United were missing so many easy chances to score, wasted plenty of time with absolutely pointless crossing and passing and definitely didn't deserve a point, neither did Chelsea though. They struggled against this poorly passing team, losing a lot in the midfield. Credit where due, Graham Potter rightly spotted this and made an early change in the first half, bringing in Kovacic for Cucurella- going from 5-2-3 to 4-3-3 and this hugely shifted the dynamic towards the home side.

Kepa put yet another stunning performance, with so many world class saves to prove that he definitely stays. Trevoh Chalobah, still remained unbeaten in his 30 starts. These were the positives from the game. Armando Broja deserved more game time today and might have finished the plenty of chances that came in the second half. Him and Pulisic were brough on pretty late and little did it help. But finally, Mctominay Committed a foul in the penalty box on Broja and that led to the first goal of the game, through a well taken penalty by Jorginho.

All Chelsea had to do now was to maintain possession and they failed to do that. 6' stoppage time didn't help them either, as Casemiro got the last minute header to equalise late late into the game. United were celebrating like they had won the game and Chelsea had pretty much lost. A tie by inches really, as Kepa almost made the save of the season but was failed by the post and he couldn't get to the rebound on time and the ball had just crosses the line.
