Ginny(that's Brighton from now on) leaves Potter dangling

Embarrassing away defeat as Chelsea lose 4-1 to Brighton.

1,2,3 and just like that Brighton were 3 goals in front as soon as the game started! No kidding, Trossard was almost unstoppable and was a real menace to Chelsea. If Thiago Silva wasn't there, the game could have ended 7-0 even. Three goal line saves, desperately hanging Chelsea on the line, ended up in vain when Trossard broke the deadlock soon after. Then from a corner, An own goal by Ruben Loftus Cheek. Pretty Cheeky of him to let it in that way. Pretty sure the team would have been specifically trained for these scenarios but they didn't seem ready at all today. Soon enough, another own goal by Chalobah and pretty much everyone were helpless on that one and Chelsea had lost their game after that.

The managers had their talks and the second half began with a quickfire goal from Chelsea that might have misled fans to keep hopes up on a dramatic comeback. Conor Gallagher gave a brilliant cross into the box for a point blank header by Havertz to make it 3-1. So many chances followed but none were fruitful enough for Chelsea to pose a comeback threat. Towards the end of the game, where Chelsea are usually leading and concede and mess up, today they weren't leading but still managed to do the rest of the parts right. Easy 4th goal for Brighton, enough to make the CUCURELLA BOOING CROWD to go crazy and clinch the game.

The game proved how much we missed Reece James in that crucial right back role, with his physicality and significant crosses. Hope for a quick recovery to help the team go firing again.

Indeed a very disappointing game for the fans but this is what we do. We win- we keep it up. We lose-we collect our pieces and start over. And a strong comeback definitely awaits us, there is no doubt. It's a Chelsea thing!

Women's team making us proud regardless. 8-0 ought to be appreciated more.
