STERLING STARS AS CHELSEA CRUISE PAST NEWLY PROMOTED SIDE LUTON TOWN TO FINALLY GET THEIR FIRST W

"Is that Lionel Messi?", the question in every Chelsea fan's mind as Sterling dribbled past 4,5 Luton defenders to gracefully get his first goal. Domination of possession and attacking prowess by Chelsea. 

Chelsea went 1-0 up in 30 mins and then the Luton tried to hold the game there as much as possible. They got their fair share of decent chances in the form of some well worked out counter attacks but the Chelsea defence and midfield were way too resilient for them. Levi Colwill, Moises Caicedo, Thiago Silva, Enzo Fernandez all starred like it was a Boxing Day game. Especially Lewi Colwill, snapped off counter attacks early on and showed his experience even if he is as young as probably myself. Very impressive from the young lad- A Cobham product proving his place in the starting 11.

Sterling and Malo Gusto Linkup

Malo Gusto after not an impressive debut in the previous game seemed pretty solid on Friday, as Sterling MESSI Raheem and Gusto both linked up to penetrate the defence more than a significant number of times to rattle the entire Luton line-up. Gusto got two assists and Sterling had 2 goals, both off Gusto.

Nicholas Jackson grabs his opener                    

   Sporting the same number as Chelsea legend Didier Drogba, who got his debut goal on Aug 24th 2004, just 19 years later, Nicholas Jackson scores his first goal as well. And well enough, he might as well be on a path of repeating history and becoming even better than Drogba. Not to get high up on it because obviously he has a lot to improve on still, such as decision making and distribution but it's fair to say he has got potential to be one of the best in his position. Chelsea fans hope they can see the legend in him some way or the other badly and its huge shoes for him to fill in. But so far he has been handling the pressure pretty well. I can tell that it's going to be a long road.

A good comeback from the defeat in London Stadium the previous week, we can only hope the levels don't drop and just gets better in coming weeks.
